The Truro Farmers Market runs every Saturday from 8 am to 12 noon, from May 15 to October 30, 2010. Rain or shine, farmers and artisans gather under the covered market between Outram and Havelock streets in the heart of downtown Truro.
Over 30 vendors sell a wide range of products: organic and low-spray vegetables, berries, cheese, honey, sausages, eggs, meat, bedding plants, herbs, flowers, trees, preserves, baked goods, breads, pottery, woolen and sewn handcrafts, jewelry, dog treats, organic t-shirts, and fair trade coffee.
There's always live music and a kids corner with fun and educational activities. Special events last year included a Strawberry Gala, Tomato Extravaganza, Wild Blueberry Festival, and Oktoberfest.
The Truro Farmers Market wants to acknowledge the generous support of the Agri-Food Industry Development Fund for our project activities to promote the Select Nova Scotia campaign. If you are interested in becoming a vendor at the market please contact the market coordinator by
